GEAR
Gears are commonly used in Japan with international standards such as ISO standards, Japanese standards like JGMA standards (Japan Gear Manufacturers Association), and JIS standard products. A gear is a mechanical element that uses a circular outer diameter with tooth profiles to transmit power, and is an essential part of manufacturing that can control deceleration, speed increase, power transmission force, … with a wide variety of shapes. There are also sprockets that transmit rotation by engaging with a roller chain. In addition, the tooth profile, which is important for gears, has curves created from various mathematical calculations, and there are two types: involute curves and cycloid curves, but in most cases, they used involute curves.
