NICKEL PLATING
There are two main types of nickel plating, “electro nickel plating” and “electroless nickel plating”. As the name suggests, there is a method in which a film is formed by applying electricity, and a method in which nickel is coated with a chemical solution without applying electricity. There is a method of forming a film by attaching. Electrolytic nickel has a beautiful lustrous shine, so it is commonly used for decorative purposes and is also used for exterior parts. In addition, due to its high hardness, it is suitable for functional plating applications and electroforming. (Electroless nickel plating is explained in a separate section) It is one of the most typical plating methods among the many surface treatments (plating).
