The Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive is a directive of the European Union (EU) concerning the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. In Japanese, it is translated as the directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. It was implemented in 2006 and revised in 2013 to RoHS 10 (RoHS 2), expanding the list to include 10 types of specified substances.
