EXCESSIVE INVENTORY

Excessive inventory, as the name suggests, refers to holding inventory beyond the actual demand, posing a significant challenge for manufacturers. Causes of excessive inventory include advancing production in advance outside of the busy season, increasing production to reduce setup costs, and bulk purchasing to lower material transportation costs, among other factors. These occurrences often present major issues for manufacturers.
