An Insert Nut refers to a nut that is molded simultaneously with the molding process, mainly during plastic or rubber molding, to create a threaded (sometimes male) insert. There are types of insert nuts that can be pressed in later after being heated. The basic material is often brass (raw), and in some cases, nuts with iron material plated can be used in areas where they may be visible.
